Course of Instructions
General Nursing & Midwifery programme is for the period of three years and six months. Course of instruction and number of hours will be as per requirements of the Indian Nursing Council. Year-wise break up of this course is as follows:

EXAMINATION:
(A) Terms & Conditions:
Student shall be eligible for admission to the Indian Nursing Council Examination if the principal of school of nursing certifies the following:
1. She has completed not less than eleven month of the course.
2. She has attended 75% of the formal instructions 75% of the clinical field experience in each are/subject separately during the academic year, however the total Clinical / field experience prescribed must be completed before the final council/board examinations and before the issue of diploma. (The diploma shall not be awarded to the students till she has completed the Clinical/field requirements).
3. The overall performance of the student and her conduct during the entire academic year has been Satisfactory.
4. The student has passed in the internal assessment by securing 50% marks in each subjects i.e., both in the theory and practical separately. (The principal shall send to the council/board the internal assessment for each subjects i.e. both theory and practical before the start of the examination along with the examination form).
Student Nurses Association
Students have an organization of their own which is affiliated to Student Nurses Association of India and further affiliated to Trained Nurses Association of India. The students are encouraged to arrange their own Activities, thus accept leadership roles.
Internship
On successful completion of the course the candidate are liable to undergo internship for a period of one Year.
Eligibility for admission
- Minimum and maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively. For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar.
- Minimum education
- 10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 40%marks.
- Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM Course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- ANM Training i.e 10+1 ½ years training should also have passed +2 or its equivalent examination.
- Admission of students shall be once in a year.
- Students shall be medically fit.
- In addition to the above. Admission procedure can be laid down by concerned State Nursing Council /Nursing Examination Boards (S.I.B.E, M.I.B.E, C.M.A.I).
